This bachelor thesis studies 21st century anglicisms appearing on popular social media networks in the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The theoretical part defines the role of English as a present Lingua Franca and its influence on the Czech lexical system. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá anglicismy 21. století, které se vyskytují napříč populárními sociálními sítěmi v České republice. Práce je rozdělena do dvou hlavních částí. Teoretická část definuje roli angličtiny jako soudobé Lingua Franca a její vliv na lexikum českého jazyka.
