Analysis of Dark Tourism in Czech Republic

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se věnuje tématu Analýza Dark Turismu v České republice. Cílem práce je analyzovat možnosti dark turismu v České republice. Dalším cílem je zjistit a porovnat nabídky dark turismu v cestovních kancelářích. Bakalářská práce je rozdělena do tří částí. Teoretická část je zaměřena na popis dark turismu a jeho jednotlivé definice. Dále se zabývá historickým vývojem dark turismu a stručně se věnuje motivaci návštěvníků těchto destinací. Druhá polovina teoretické části se zabývá zvolenými typologiemi turistických cílů dark turismu a jeho formami. Analytická část popisuje turistické cíle dark turismu v České republice vybrané na základě ankety provedené agenturou CzechTourism a analýzou turistických cílů skrze portál Kudyznudy.cz. V analytické části je dále zhodnocena návštěvnost zvolených turistických cílů za roky 2017 – 2020 na základě analýzy dat získaných z reportů návštěvnosti jednotlivých krajů zpracované agenturou CzechTourism a ze statistik Národního informačního a poradenského střediska pro kulturu (NIPOS). Dále se analytická část věnuje analýze a komparaci vybraných cestovních kanceláří a jejich nabídek. Zda je cestovní kancelář zaměřena na dark turismus a zda jsou v rámci těchto nabídek vybraných cestovních kanceláří pokryta všechna zvolená turistická místa. V návrhové části jsou na základě informací získaných z analytické části navrženy turistické cíle vhodné k zařazení do nabídky cestovních kanceláří, dále jsou navrhnuty výletní nebo vycházkové okruhy.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the topic of the Analysis of Dark Tourism in the Czech Republic. The goal of the thesis is to analyse the possibilities of dark tourism in the Czech Republic and also to analyse and compare dark tourism offers in travel agencies. The bachelor thesis is divided into three parts. The theoretical part focuses on the description of dark tourism and its individual definitions. It also deals with historical development of dark tourism and briefly deals with the motivation of visitors to visit these destinations. The second half of the theoretical part deals with selected typologies of tourist destinations of dark tourism and its forms. The analytical part describes the tourist destinations of dark tourism in the Czech Republic selected on the basis of a survey conducted by the CzechTourism agency and the analysis of tourist destinations through the portal Kudyznudy.cz. The analytical part also evaluates the attendance of selected tourist destinations for the years 2017 - 2020 based on the analysis of data obtained from reports of attendance of individual regions prepared by the CzechTourism agency and statistics from the National Information and Counselling Centre for Culture (NIPOS). Furthermore, the analytical part focuses on the analysis and comparison of selected travel agencies and their offers, whether the travel agency is focused on dark tourism and whether all selected tourist destinations are covered within these offers of selected travel agencies. In the proposal part, based on the information obtained from the analytical part, tourist destinations suitable for inclusion in the offer of travel agencies, as well as excursion or walking circuits are proposed.
