Influence of planting density on growth of cultures of selected forest trees

Abstract:

Práce porovnává vliv hustoty výsadeb na kvalitu odrůstání kultur javoru mléče, borovice lesní a smrku ztepilého. Na výzkumné ploše Větrný Jeníkov (soubor lesních typů 5K) byl vysázen prostokořenný sadební materiál, a to u dřevin javoru mléče a smrku ztepilého. U borovice lesní byl použit krytokořenný sadební materiál. Sadební materiál byl vysázen jamkovou a štěrbinovou sadbou. Dřeviny byly vysázeny v různých hustotách a sponech. Všechny varianty byly dále rozděleny na varianty A a B (např. JV1A, SM2B), kde byly sazenice vysázeny ve stejném sponu. Na ploše javoru byly vysázeny tři odlišné varianty. Varianta JV1 měla spon 1,3 x 1,3 metrů a celkový počet vysázených sazenic byl 5 913 kusů na hektar. Varianta JV2 měla spon 1,3 x 2 metrů a celkový počet vysázených sazenic byl 3 846 kusů na hektar. Varianta JV3 měla spon 2 x 2 metrů a celkový počet vysázených sazenic byl 2 500 kusů na hektar. Varianta BO1 měla spon 1,6 x 1,6 metrů a celkový počet vysázených sazenic byl 3 906 kusů na hektar. Varianta BO2 měla spon 1,1 x 1,1 metrů a celkový počet vysázených sazenic byl 8 263 kusů na hektar. Varianta SM1 měla spon 2 x 2,7 metrů a celkový počet vysázených sazenic byl 1 851 kusů na hektar. Varianta SM2 měla spon 3 x 3 metrů a celkový počet vysázených sazenic byl 1 100 kusů na hektar. Varianta SM3 měla spon 1,8 x 1,8 metrů a celkový počet vysázených sazenic byl 3 083 kusů na hektar. Měření a hodnocení výsadeb bylo uskutečněno v roce výsadby. První měření probíhalo od 20.6. 2021 do 27.6. 2021. Druhé měření se uskutečnilo ve dnech od 7.9.2021 do 18.9.2021. Byly sledovány tyto parametry a znaky – délka nadzemní části, výškový přírůst 2021, tloušťka kořenového krčku, počet větví na přeslenu, počet větví celkem, délka nejdelší větve, tvar kmene (přímý, dvoják, vícečetný vrchol, vícečetný kmen), délka asimilačního aparátu, šířka asimilačního aparátu, barva, poškození biotickými a abiotickými činiteli a ztráty. Z prvního měření z období od 20.6.-27.6. 2021 nebyly zjištěny žádné statisticky významné rozdíly mezi jednotlivými variantami v růstu nadzemní části. Také nebyly zjištěny podstatné rozdíly mezi jednotlivými variantami ve ztrátách. Přestože byl sadební materiál oplocen, činilo poškození javoru okusem 50 %. Z druhého měření z období od 7.9.-18.9. 2021 nebyly zjištěny žádné statisticky významné rozdíly v růstu nadzemní části mezi sledovanými variantami. Přírůst nadzemní části byl poměrně malý. U všech variant SM a u obou variant BO1 byly zjištěny výrazné ztráty, které můžeme přikládat špatné manipulaci se sadebním materiálem či nesprávnému pracovnímu postupu při výsadbě. Nejvíce byla zabuřeněná plocha SM2 se 40,0 %. Průměrné zabuřenění ploch činilo 12,4 %. Na plochy nalétly semenáčky smrku, borovice a buku. Na ploše 10 m2 bylo v průměru 6 semenáčků.

Abstract:

The thesis compares the influence of planting density on the quality of growth of Norway maple, Scots pine and Norway spruce cultures. On the Větrný Jeníkov research area (forest type 5K set), bare-rooted planting stock was planted near Norway maple and Norway spruce. For Scots pine, angiosperm planting material was used. Seedling material was planted with the hole and notch planting. Timber species were planted in different densities and arrangement. All variants were divided into groups A and B (e.g., JV1A, SM2B), where the seedlings were planted with the same. Three different variants were planted on the maple area. The JV1 variant had staples of 1.3 x 1.3 meters and the total number of planted seedlings was 5,913 pieces per hectare. The JV2 variant had a staple of 1.3 x 2 meters and the total number of planted seedlings was 3,846 pieces per hectare. The JV3 variant had a staple of 2 x 2 meters and the total number of planted seedlings was 2,500 pieces per hectare. The BO1 variant had the arrangement of plants of 1.6 x 1.6 meters and the total number of planted seedlings was 3,906 pieces per hectare. The BO2 variant had a of 1.1 x 1.1 meters and the total number of planted seedlings was 8,263 pieces per hectare. The SM1 variant had of 2 x 2.7 meters and the total number of planted seedlings was 1,851 pieces per hectare. The SM2 variant had of 3 x 3 meters and the total number of planted seedlings was 1,100 pieces per hectare. The SM3 variant had of 1.8 x 1.8 meters and the total number of planted seedlings was 3,083 pieces per hectare. Measurement and evaluation of plantings were carried out in the year of planting. The first measurement took place in the spring from 20.6.2021 to 27.6.2021 and the second measurement took place from 7.9.2021 to 18.9.2021. The following parameters and signs were monitored – the length of the above-ground part, the height gain of 2021, the thickness of the root neck, the number of branches on the whorl, the number of branches in total, the length of the longest branch, the shape of the trunk (straight, double, multiple top, multiple trunk), the length of the assimilation apparatus, the width of the assimilation apparatus, the colour, the damage by biotic and abiotic agents and losses. From the first measurement in the period from 20.6.2021 to 27.6.2021, no statistically significant differences were found between the individual variants in the growth of the above-ground part, nor were there any significant differences between the individual variants in losses. Although the seedling material was fenced, damage to the maple by the nibble reached up to 50%. From the second measurement in the period from 7.9.2021 to 18.9.2021, no statistically significant differences in the growth of the above-ground part between the monitored variants were found. The increment of the above-ground part was quite small. Significant losses were found in all variants of SM and both variants of BO1, which can be attributed to the fact that they were caused by poor handling of planting material or improper planting procedure. The most weed infestation area was SM2 with 40%. The average weed infestation of the area was 12.4%. Seedlings of spruce, pine and beech flew to the areas. There was an average of 6 seedlings on the area of 10m2.
