Záměrem této práce bylo zmapování historického pronikání buddhismu od starověku po 21. století do částí západního světa, a to především do Evropy včetně českého prostředí. The aim of this thesis is to explore and evaluate the position of Buddhism in European and Czech Cultures from the Ancient Times to the current 21st century. In the first part, a brief overview of Buddhism Origins as a religious movement based on the teachings of Siddharta Gautama is presented.
