Construction of feminity and masculinity among employees in a corporate environment

Abstract:

Hlavním tématem bakalářské práce je analyzovat, jakým způsobem se utváří, formuje a manifestuje ženství a mužství v prostředí velkých firem. Práce se snaží uchopit firemní prostředí jako instituci, mající vliv na chování, jednání a reprezentaci zkoumaných jedinců v oblasti firemního provozu. Práce se zabývá konstrukcí ženskosti a mužskosti, genderových stereotypů a utvářením identity ve vztahu k profesi. Cílem práce je zjistit, jakým způsobem je prezentováno mužství a ženství ve firemním prostředí. Práce se snaží analyzovat konstrukci ženského a mužského chování, respektive jak je feminní a maskulinní chování uchopeno jednotlivými aktéry.

Abstract:

The main topic of this bachelor's thesis is to analyze how femininity and masculinity are formed and manifested in the environment of large companies. The work tries to grasp the corporate environment as an institution that has an impact on the behavior, actions and representation of the examined individuals in the field of corporate operations. The work deals with the construction of femininity and masculinity, gender stereotypes and the formation of identity in relation to the profession. The aim of the work is to find out how masculinity and femininity are presented in the corporate environment. The work tries to analyze the construction of female and male behavior, respectively how feminine and masculine behavior is captured by individual actors.
