Caspase-14 belongs to the family of proteases that are crucial in cell proliferation and differentiation, they also play a role in inflammatory processes and immune response. Kaspáza-14 patří do rodiny proteáz, které jsou klíčové v zánětlivých procesech a imunitní reakci, mají uplatnění při procesech proliferace a diferenciace buněk. Zprostředkovávají programovanou buněčnou smrt a svými mnohými funkcemi přispívají k udržování homeostázy organismu a k regulaci správné ontogeneze.
