The Annotated Translation of G. Demidov's Novella Dekabristka

Abstract:

The subject of this master thesis is an annotated translation of the selected part of G. G. Demidov’s short story Dekabristka. The thesis is divided into two main parts – theoretical and practical. The theoretical part introduces translatology as a discipline, different types of translation, and translation strategies. The practical part is comprised of the translated part of the short story and our commentary whose aim is to analyse the translation process of the most interesting parts from the story.

Abstract:

Předmětem této diplomové práce je komentovaný překlad vybrané části povídky Děkabristka G. G. Děmidova. Práce je členěna na část teoretickou a část praktickou. Teoretická část je věnována překladu jako vědě, druhům překladu a základním překladatelským pojmům a strategiím. Část praktická sestává z překladu části povídky a našeho komentáře, který si klade za cíl analyzovat vybrané jevy, které považujeme za zajímavé.
