Bioaccumulation of contrast agents based on gadolinium in green algae

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na sledování akumulace kontrastních látek na bázi gadolinia a Gd(NO3)3 v zelené řase druhu Chlorella kessleri. Byl upraven postup přípravy vzorků zelené řasy Chlorella kessleri z akumulačních pokusů pro stanovení Gd pomocí hmotnostní spektrometrie s ionizací v indukčně vázaném plazmatu a průletovým detektorem. Akumulace sloučenin gadolinia v řase byla sledována v různých časových intervalech ve třech koncentračních úrovních. Dosažené výsledky byly zhodnoceny a byly podrobeny statistickému hodnocení s důrazem na správnost a shodnost výsledků.

Abstract:

The thesis is focused on monitoring the accumulation of gadolinium based contrast agents and Gd(NO3)3 in green algae Chlorella kessleri. The procedure for the preparation of green algae Chlorella kessleri samples from accumulation experiments for the determination of Gd by the time-of-flight inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry was modified. The accumulation of Gd solutions was monitored for different time intervales in three concentration levels. The obtained results were evaluated and they were subjected to statistical evaluation with emphasis on correctness and consistency of the results.
