Muscular and ligamentous lesions of the professional athlete?s shoulder: review of literature.

Abstract:

the objective of the thesis is to analyze specifically all the aspects of the main shoulder problems in professional overhead athletes, focusing on the analysis of risk factors for the onset of the diseases: dyskinesis, injuries in the rotator cuff and shoulder impingement syndrome. Not least will be the attention to shoulder pain and clinical signs, diagnostic tests, conservative treatments, surgical procedures and targeted rehabilitation programs.

Abstract:

L'obiettivo della tesi sar? quello di analizzare nello specifico tutti gli aspetti dei principali problemi di spalla negli atleti professionisti praticanti sport overhead, soffermandosi sull'analisi dei fattori di rischio per l'insorgenza delle principali patologie della spalla: le discinesie scapolari, i danni a carico dei muscoli della cuffia dei rotatori e la sindrome da impingement subacromiale. Non ultima sar? l'attenzione dedicata al sintomo "dolore di spalla" ed ai segni clinici, ai test diagnostici, al trattamento di tipo conservativo o chirurgico ed ai programmi di riabilitazione dedicati a questo tipo di atleti.
