Commonwealth of Independent States at the beginning of 21st century

Abstract:

Společenství nezávislých států je regionální organizace tvořená státy bývalého Sovětského svazu. V současnosti význam regionu roste, a to z důvodů ropného a nerostného bohatství některých členských zemích. Geopoliticky a strategicky je to významná část světa. Předmětem mého zkoumání je nejen Společenství jako celek, ale i jednotlivé státy a zejména pak jejich ekonomiky. Porovnávám je mezi sebou a snažím se najít jejich přednosti a nedostatky. Moje bakalářská práce si klade za cíl odpovědět na otázku, zda je opravdu organizace SNS pro své členy přínosná a zda jim po rozpadu SSSR pomohla začít novou státní éru s vlastní autonomií.

Abstract:

Commonwealth of Independent States is a regional organization consisting of states of former Soviet Union. Presently the importance of the region is growing, the reason is oil and mineral resources in certain member countries. Geopolitically and strategically it is a significant part of the world. The subject of my research is not only the Commonwealth as a whole, but it is also the research of the individual states, and especially its economies. I am comparing them with each other and trying to find their strengths and weaknesses. My bachelor thesis aim is to answer the question whether the CIS organization has the asset for its members and whether it helped them to start a new era of government with its own autonomy after the disintegration of the Soviet Union.
