Statistical Analysis of Insurance Debtors in Health Insurance Companies

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the general principles of public health insurance, with the obligations of payers to insurance companies, with the obligations of insurance companies, which are enshrined in the law on health insurance and with the appropriate statistical methods for the analysis of data. Aim of the work is characterized by statistical means the files of debtors in health insurance companies and compare insurance companies, find the correlations with the select national economic indicators and with the basic characteristics of the time series describe the development of the amount of the sum due. Part of the first chapter is deals with the closer characteristics and content of health insurance, its forms and principles, creation and extinction of public health insurance in the context of the law, but mainly in the specific part of the taxpayers who are paying the insurance premiums, rights and obligations of the insured person and with the insurance companies in Slovakia. In the second part are theoretically defined the statistical methods for the processing the analysis of debtors in health insurance companies. The practical part analyzes, processes and compares the insurance companies by selected criteria and in the light of published lists of insurance debtors, examines the correlation between chosen features, interprets the information and evaluates the access of insurance companies to the total amount its debts and their number.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá všeobecnými princípmi verejného zdravotného poistenia, povinnosťami platiteľov voči poisťovniam, povinnosťami poisťovní, ktoré sú zakotvené v zákone o zdravotnom poistení a štatistickými metódami vhodnými na analýzu údajov. Cieľom práce je štatistickými prostriedkami charakterizovať súbory dlžníkov v zdravotných poisťovniach a porovnať poisťovne, nájsť korelácie s vybranými ekonomickými ukazovateľmi a základnými charakteristikami časových radov popísať vývoj výšky dlžných súm. Prvá časť práce sa zaoberá bližšou charakteristikou a obsahovým vymedzením zdravotného poistenia, jeho foriem a princípom, vzniku a zániku verejného zdravotného poistenia v kontexte s jeho právnymi predpismi, no najmä v jeho špecifickej časti platenia poistenia platiteľmi poistného, právami a povinnosťami poistenca a zdravotných poisťovní na Slovensku. V druhej časti sú teoreticky vymedzené štatistické metódy vhodné na spracovanie analýzy údajov dlžníkov poistného v zdravotných poisťovniach. Praktická časť analyzuje, spracúva a porovnáva poisťovne podľa vybraných kritérií a z hľadiska zverejňovaných zoznamov dlžníkov poistného, skúma závislosti medzi zvolenými znakmi, interpretuje získané informácie a vyhodnocuje prístup poisťovní k celkovej výške svojich pohľadávok a ich počtu.
