Abstract:

Práce se věnuje volebnímu chování v evropských zemích. Zkoumání je zaměřeno na zvláštnosti volebního chování v postkomunistických zemích. Cílem práce je zodpovědět otázky, v čem se liší volební chování mezi západními evropskými demokraciemi a postkomunistickými zeměmi a jakými kontextuálními faktory mohou být tyto rozdíly vysvětleny. Práce sleduje vliv dvou skupin faktorů na individuální úrovni – pozice voliče v sociální struktuře (štěpící linie - „cleavages“) a politické hodnoty voliče.

Abstract:

The thesis deals the voting behavior in European countries. The research focuses on specifics in voting behavior in Post-Communist countries. The aim of thesis is to answer qustions 1) how does voting behavior differs between Post-Communist and Western democracies and 2 what contextual factors can explain differences between contexts. Two groups of factors on individual level are examined - position in social structure ("cleavages") and political values.
