East Slavic Funeral Rituals and Commemoration of the Deceased
Abstract:
Předkládaná bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou pohřební a vzpomínkové obřadnosti východních Slovanů. Zaměřuje se na starobylé rituály, které vznikly na základě pradávných lidových představ o světě, životě a smrti. Tyto rituály jsou v práci prezentovány v kontextu daného obřadu a na konkrétních příkladech je demonstrován jejich průběh a význam.
Abstract:
The following thesis deals with the subject of funerary and commemorative ceremonies of Eastern Slavs. It focuses on ancient rituals that originate in people's traditional understanding of the world, life and death. These rituals are presented in the thesis in the context of the given ceremony and their course and symbolic meaning are demonstrated on concrete examples.
