Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Rozvoj verbálně komunikačních dovedností pomocí kooperativního učení v hodinách angličtiny“ se zabývá důležitostí mluvních dovedností žáků při výuce anglického jazyka na druhém stupni základní školy a možného využití strategie kooperativního učení k rozvoji těchto dovedností. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí, teoretické a praktické. Teoretická část představuje kooperativní učení obecně i jeho vhodnost pro výuku cizího jazyka. Dále shrnuje základní pravidla pro výuku mluvení v anglickém jazyce a jejich souvislost s užíváním koopertivního učení. Také navrhuje některé kooperativní aktivity vhodné pro rozvoj verbálně komunikačních dovedností a uvádí je na konkrétních příkladech. V praktické části jsou prezentována data, která byla získána na záladě případové studie. Ta byla provedena ve třídě kvartě Biskupského gymnázia Brno. Výsledky z observací ukázaly, kolik pozornosti je věnováno rozvoji mluvních dovedností v angličtině, a zda žáci mají rovné příležitosti pro vlastní vyjadřování. Odpovědi z dotazníků ukázaly preference žáků při výuce anglického jazyka. Cílem práce bylo jak ukázat důležitost rozvoje mluvních dovedností ve výuce anglického jazkyka na druhém stupni základní školy, tak i předložit návrh zlepšení možné nepříznivé situace pomocí kooperativního učení.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis “Developing Oral Skills with Cooperative Learning in EFL Classes” studies the importance of speaking skills of pupils in English language lessons at secondary schools and the possible use of cooperative learning strategy to develop these skills. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part presents cooperative learning in general and also its appropriateness for teaching foreing languages. Then, it summarizes the rules for teaching speaking in English lessons and its connection to the use of cooperative learning. It also suggests some cooperative activities suitable for developing oral skills and illustrates them on particular examples. In the practical part there are presented data gained in a case study. The case study was carried out in the fourth year of eight-year programme of Bishop Grammar School Brno. The results from observation showed how much focus is dedicated to the development of oral skills in English and whether the pupil have equal opportunities for expressing themeselves. The answers from questionnaires showed the pupils´ preferences and needs in English lessons. The aim of the thesis is to emhasize the importance of developing oral skills in lessons of English at secondary schools and to present the proposal for improvement of possible unfavorable situation with cooperative learning.
