Abstract:

Série čtyř objektů na téma symbióza se zabývá problematikou jednoho z šesti druhů symbiózy, a sice parazitismu. Jednotlivá díla reflektují lidské chování vůči přírodě. Je zde snaha o práci s psychikou diváka. Záměr vystavit jej pozorování přírodních elementů ve více rovinách má za cíl donutit k přemýšlení nad důsledky lidského chování k přírodě. Všechna díla pracují se světlem a to konkrétně s bioluminiscencí, jako jedním z nejvíce fascinujících přírodních fenoménů na Zemi. Navržení objektů pracujících s tímto jevem umožňuje vystavit diváka dvěma naprosto odlišným vizuálním prožitkům. Díky biologickým hodinám u používaných organismů je možné bioluminiscenci pozorovat pouze v noci. Naopak za denního světla tento jev není možné spatřit. Ve tmě je divák vystaven objektům, aniž by viděl jejich konkrétní kontury či použité materiály. Nicméně velmi dobře může pozorovat světélkující řasy a vnímat jejich krásu. V denním světle se situace obrací a divák je konfrontován s velmi ostrými a drsnými objekty vyrobenými z industriálních materiálů s prvky konzumních předmětů, věznícími tyto přírodní organismy. Kultury plné života vypadají jako obyčejná voda a zdá se, jakoby řasy v těchto konstrukcích nevyhnutelně strádaly. Použití laboratorního skla ve formě baněk či zkumavek má pouze umocnit dojem ze zacházení s přírodou jako s testovacím subjektem.

Abstract:

A series of four objects on the topic of symbiosis which deals with the issue of one of the six types of symbiosis, namely parasitism. Individual works reflect human behavior towards nature. There is an effort to work with the psyche of the viewer. The intention is to expose him to the observation of natural elements on several levels, thereby aiming to make him think about the consequences of human behavior on nature. All works work with light, specifically bioluminescence, as one of the most fascinating natural phenomena on Earth. The design of objects working with this phenomenon allows the viewer to be exposed to two completely different visual experiences. Thanks to the biological clock in the organisms used, bioluminescence can only be observed at night. On the contrary, it is not possible to see this phenomenon in daylight. In the dark, the viewer is exposed to objects without seeing their specific contours or materials used. However, he can very well observe the glowing lashes and perceive their beauty. In daylight, the situation turns and the viewer is confronted with very sharp and rough objects made of industrial materials with elements of consumer objects, imprisoning these natural organisms. Cultures full of life look like ordinary water, and algae seem to inevitably suffer from these structures. The use of laboratory glassware in the form of flasks or test tubes is only intended to enhance the impression of treating nature as a test subject.
