Experiment in the Films by Godfrey Reggio (Koyaanisqatsi) and Dziga Vertov (Chelovek s kinoapparatom): Comparative Study
Abstract:
Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na komparaci dvou unikátů světové kinematografie, Chelovek s kinoapparátom (Dziga Vertov) a Koyaanisqatsi (Godfrey Reggio). Srovnání se zaměřuje na žánrovou problematiku, na odrazy dob, ve kterých autoři žili, na hudební složky a na filmové efekty. Díla jsou také zasazena do kontextu hypermediace a imediace.
Abstract:
This thesis is focused on the comparison of two unique pieces of world cinematography, Chelovek s kinoapparatom (Dziga Vertov) and Koyaanisqatsi (Godfrey Reggio). Comparison is focused on genre issues, reflections of eras in which the authors lived, also on music and on cinematic effects. These pieces are re also set in the context of hypermediation and immediation.
