Psychosocial (peer) support as a strategy to manage nurses' work stress

Abstract:

Teoretická část práce se zabývá psychosociální peer podporou a nastiňuje nejnáročnější oblasti sesterské profese. V úvodu se teoretická část práce zabývá psychosociální peer podporu v rámci Systému psychosociální intervenční služby SPIS České republiky ve zdravotnictví. V další části popisuje kritéria pracovní spokojenosti sester, věnuje se problematice stresu a nejčastějším stresorům v práci sestry i s ohledem na koronavirovou pandemii. V závěru se teoretická část diplomové práce zabývá stres managementem, co-pingovými strategiemi a vlivem psychosociální podpory na práci sester. Realizovaný kvalitativní výzkum, který je popsán v praktické části práce je zaměřen na aspekty souvisejícími s úspěšnou implementací kolegiální peer podpory v rámci SPIS v České republice ve vybraných zdravotnických zařízeních. Respondentkami výzkumu byly náměstkyně ošetřovatelské péče a koordinátorky PEER podpory. Výzkumná data byla získána na základě polostrukturovaných rozhovorů, které byly nahrávány, následně přepisovány a analyzovány. Nejdůležitější výsledky práce jsou shrnuty v podkapitole Stručné zhodnocení výsledků ve vztahu ke stanoveným cílům. Na základě analýzy výzkumu bylo zpracováno doporučení pro praxi, které je uvedeno v samostatné části diplomové práce v jejím závěru.

Abstract:

The theoretical part of thesis deals with psychosocial peer support and outlines the most demanding areas of the sister profession. In the first part, it focuses on psychosocial peer support within the SYSTEM of psychosocial intervention service SPIS. In the next sec-tion, she describes the criteria of work satisfaction of nurses, deals with stress and the most common stressors at work of a nurse, as well as with regard to the coronavirus pan-demic. In the final part, the theoretical part of thesis deals with stress management, cop-ing strategies and the influence of psychosocial support on the work of nurses. The practical part of thesis is carried out by qualitative research focused on aspects relat-ed to the successful implementation of collegiate peer support within the FILE in selected health facilities. It was targeted at deputy nursing care and peer support coordinators and conducted by semi-structured interviews that were recorded, subsequently transcribed and analyzed. The most important results of the thesis are summarised in the subsea Brief evaluation of the results in relation to the stated objectives. Based on the analysis of the research, a recommendation for practice was prepared, which is stated in a separate part of the thesis in its conclusion.
