Left factorial and Kurepa's hypothesis

Abstract:

Shrnuji většinu dosud známých výsledků ze studia Kurepovy hypotézy o levém faktoriálu. Nepíši o numerickém ověřování Kurepovy hypotézy, protože se nezdá být cestou k jejímu konečnému důkazu. Soustředím se na rekurentní vyjádření posloupnosti levých faktoriálů a jiných posloupností ve kterých je Kurepova hypotéza formulovatelná. Přidávám některé vlastní poznatky: Nezávislé důvody k formulování Kurepovy hypotézy, posloupnost levých faktoriálů z hlediska afinní kombinace bodů, úzká provázanost posloupností levých faktoriálů a subfaktoriálů. Nakonec dokazuji, kdy je Kurepova hypotéza nedokazatelná za předpokladu použití rekurentního vyjádření posloupnosti levých faktoriálů.

Abstract:

I summarized most of the known results of the study Kurepa's hypothesis about left factorial without the numerical verification of Kurepa's hypothesis because it does not seem to be the way to its final proof. I focused on the recurrence relation of the left factorial's sequence and other sequences which Kurepa's hypothesis is formulated. I added some of my own knowledge: independent reasons for the Kurepa's hypothesis, left factorial's sequence in terms of an affine combinations of points, close linkage between left factorial's and the alternating subfaktorial's sequences. Finally, I proved that Kurepa's hypothesis is unprovable, provided using the recurrent left factorial.
