Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem této bakalářské práce je formou pilotního výzkumu zjistit spolehlivost a proveditelnost internetového testu sluchu Widex na vybrané populaci. Dále pomocí rešerše podat informace o současném stavu literatury v oblasti teleaudiologie a zjistit možnosti vyšetření sluchu na dálku, jejich přesnost, spolehlivost a materiální zabezpečení. Metodika: K provedení pilotního výzkumu byly získány výsledky internetového testu od 41 probandů (studentů Lékařské fakulty Ostravské univerzity) ve věku 20-27 let (24 ? 1,86). K provedení internetového testu byly použity buď chytré telefony, tablety nebo počítače bez ohledu na značku a různé typy sluchátek. Pro posouzení výsledků bylo provedeno jejich porovnání s hodnotami naměřenými u těchto studentů v rámci konvenční audiometrie provedené ve zvukotěsné kabině na ORL klinice. Pro rešerši byly vyhledávány studie v databázích PubMed, Scopus a Web of Science publikované od roku 2011 do ledna 2023. Zařazeno bylo 10 studií, které splnily všechna kritéria pro jejich zařazení. Výsledky: Výsledky Widex testu a audiometrie byly zaznamenány a zpracovány pomocí databáze v programu MS Excel do tabulek a grafů. Obě metody vyhodnocovaly lepší ucho, kdy ke shodě ve výsledcích došlo pouze ve 34,2 % případů. V 17 % došlo ke komplikacím s aplikací během testování. V rámci literární rešerše se studie převážně ve svých závěrech shodují na tom, že jsou internetové testy a aplikace pro posouzení sluchu za vhodných podmínek a správně zvolených zařízeních efektivní a užitečný nástroj pro screening sluchu. Závěr: Hodnocený test sluchu Widex není stejně jako aplikace testované ve vybraných studiích srovnatelně přesný s výsledky běžné audiometrie. Pokud by však došlo k odstranění limitací tohoto výzkumu nebo specifikaci autorů testu ohledně použitého typu zařízení, mohla by se přesnost výsledků zvýšit. S ohledem na proveditelnost, dostupnost a cenu jsou testy a aplikace vhodné jako potenciální nástroj pro screening sluchu.

Abstract:

Objective: The objective of this bachelor's thesis is to determine the reliability and feasibility of the Widex internet hearing test on a selected population as a form of pilot research. Furthermore, using the research to provide information on the current state of the literature in the field of teleaudiology and to find out the possibilities of remote hearing examinations, their accuracy, reliability and material security. Methodology: To carry out the pilot research, the results of an internet test were obtained from 41 probands (students of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ostrava) aged 20-27 (24 ? 1.86). Either smartphones, tablets or computers regardless of brand and different types of headphones were used to perform the internet test. To assess the results, they were compared with the values measured for these students in the framework of conventional audiometry performed in a soundproof cabin at the ENT clinic. For the search, studies were searched in the PubMed, Scopus and Web of Science databases published from 2011 to January 2023. 10 studies were included that met all the criteria for their inclusion. Results: The results of the Widex test and audiometry were recorded and processed using a database in the MS Excel program into tables and graphs. Both methods evaluated the better ear, with agreement in results occurring only in 34.2 % of cases. 17 % had complications with the app during testing. As part of the literature review, studies mostly agree in their conclusions that internet tests and applications for hearing assessment under suitable conditions and correctly selected devices are an effective and useful tool for hearing screening. Conclusion: The evaluated Widex hearing test, like the applications tested in selected studies, is not comparably accurate with the results of regular audiometry. However, if the limitations of this research were removed or the test authors specified the type of equipment used, the accuracy of the results could increase. Considering feasibility, availability, and cost, the tests and apps are suitable as a potential hearing screening tool.
