The sex chromosome trisomies 47,XYY and predisposition to criminal behavior
Abstract:
Bakalářská práce se zabývá syndromem XYY a jeho souvislostí s kriminálním chováním. Tato souvislost byla v literatuře diskutována od roku 1965, kdy byla Patricií Jacobsovou popsána zvýšená frekvence výskytu syndromu XYY u mužů ve věznicích a nápravných zařízeních. Práce se zabývá také dalšími genetickými příčinami antisociálního či agresivního chování, zejména patologickými variantami genu MAOA.
Abstract:
The bachelor thesis deals with XYY syndrome and its connection with criminal behavior. This link has been discussed in the literature since 1965, when Patricia Jacobs described the increased frequency of XYY syndrome in men in prisons and penal institutions. The thesis also deals with other genetic causes of antisocial or aggressive behavior, especially pathological variants of the MAOA gene.
