Gijs Gieskes contribution to the new media art
Abstract:
Magisterská diplomová práce se věnuje tvorbě Gijse Gieskese a jeho přínosu do oblasti umění nových médií. Práce obsahuje popis metod, se kterými pracuje, stěžejní dílo, rozhovor s umělcem a analýzu díla Electromechanical Modular. Zmíněni jsou také umělci, kteří pracují a smýšlí podobně jako Gieskes.
Abstract:
Thesis is dedicated to a creation of dutch artist and technic Gijs Gieskes, and also to his contribution in new media art. Work includes also description of his creation methods, his main works, interview and analysis of his art piece Electromechanical Modular. There are also mentioned artists and technics, who work and think in the same way as Gieskes.
