Bakalářská práce se zabývá působností města Žatce v oblasti základního školství. Nejdříve je nastíněna historie školství v Žatci od první zmínky o městě do současnosti. Dále ve své práci věnuji pozornost pravomocem, ale i povinnostem obce v oblasti základního školství. Bachelor thesis deals with activities of town of Žatec in the area of elementary education. At first history of education in Žatec from the first note about the town until today. Further in my work I pay attention to competences as well as obligations of town in the area of elementary education.
