Práce předkládá stručný nástin vývoje žánru fantasy se zaměřením na úlohu map v rámci tvorby fantasy světů a rozebírá, nakolik se drží běžných kartografických postupů a také nakolik tvůrci fantasy map vychází ze skutečných map historických. Dospívá k závěru, že historické mapy jsou silným vzorem a východiskem, avšak že ne vždy se ke své vlastní škodě fantasy mapy drží svých reálných předobrazů, a ne …moreAbstract:
This study brings brief review of development of fantasy genre with the main focus on role of maps in creation of fantasy worlds. It deals with the question of how much do the fantasy creators follow ordinary cartographic approaches and how much are they based in real historical maps.
