Tato práce se zaměřuje na pojetí cesty jako literárního prvku ve dvou vybraných prozaických dílech indického spisovatele dvacátého století Amitava Ghoshe. Jak Sea of Poppies, tak The Shadow Lines jsou vyprávěními, která jsou významně protkána motivem cesty. This paper focuses on the notion of the literary motif of a journey in two selected prose works by the twentieth century Indian writer Amitav Ghosh. Both Sea of Poppies and The Shadow Lines embody a narrative that is significantly interwoven with this motif.
