MOSTECKO REGION PROMOTION

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je představit čtenáři region Mostecko a ukázat na jeho specifika, problémy a zajímavosti. Důležitou součástí práce je vysvětlení významu cestovního ruchu pro region. V souvislosti s tímto významem se zaměřuji na problematiku propagace regionů. Diplomové práci bych ráda vtiskla komplexní rámec, proto úvodní část věnuji definicím pojmů, ovšem v nezbytně nutné šíři. Jde zejména o pojmy propagace, komunikace a region. Širší explanace těchto pojmů, jejich podstatných jevů, významů a forem vyžaduje větší prostor, který jsem raději věnovala jiným konkrétním problémům sledovaného regionu. Pro hledání vhodné formy propagace Mostecka zjišťuji atraktivity regionu, které mohou být náplní propagační kampaně. Po zhodnocení stávajícího stavu v oblasti propagace Mostecka, navrhuji vlastní propagační strategii, realizovatelnou pomocí netradičních médií.

Abstract:

The goal of this paper is to present to the reader, the region of Most in the northwest Czech Republic – to show its current state, its specific problems, its points of interest, and its future. An important part of this work will be to examine the importance of tourism for this region. In order to explore this topic, I have decided to focus on the problems and issues in promoting this region. Now, given the complexity of this paper’s content it is necessary to use and define words and terms in a very broad sense – words such as promotion, regional marketing and communication. Unfortunately at this time, there is simply not enough space to adequately define the exact meanings and forms of these terms. Instead I have chosen to analyze the concrete issues and problems facing the monitored region of Most. Specifically I plan to look for regional attractions and points of interest that could form the basic content of a positive and relevant promotional campaign for Most area. After investigating the current state of tourism and promotion of the region, I will propose my own promotional strategy for the Most region which can be realized using non-traditional forms of media.
