Social Curatorship as a Tool of Prevention of Crime and Deliquency in the Case of Children and Youth

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o tématu sociální kurately ve vztahu k prevenci kriminálního a delikventního jednání dětí a mládeže. Práce je teoreticko-aplikační. Cílem bakalářské práce je přiblížit příčiny, které mají za následek vznik delikventního a kriminální jednání u dětí a mládeže, a popsat metody práce kurátorů pro děti a mládež. V teoretické části se zaměřuji na vymezení klíčových pojmů, objasnění nejčastějších příčin vzniku delikventního a kriminálního jednání, zabývám se zde prevencí kriminality a v poslední kapitole se věnuji charakteristice sociální kurately a jednotlivým metodám, které jsou v praxi na pozici kurátora pro děti a mládež využívány. V aplikační části věnuji pozornost reálné kazuistice mladistvého klienta, prostřednictvím které budu demonstrovat příčinu vzniku delikventního chování klienta a současně způsob práce kurátora pro děti a mládež. Součástí kazuistiky je také analýza konkrétních využívaných postupů při práci kurátora s nezletilým klientem.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of social curatorship in relation to prevention of criminal and delinquent behaviour of children and youth. The thesis is theoretical-applicative. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to explain the causes of the origin of delinquent and criminal behaviour of children and youth, and to describe the methods of work used by social curators in relation to the discussed age group. In the theoretical part I focus on defining the key terms, clarifying the common causes of delinquent and criminal behaviour, defining crime prevention. In the last chapter, I describe the characteristics of social curatorship as well as the particular methods which are in used in practice by the social curators of children and youth. In the practical part of my thesis I analyse a case of a juvenile client. Through the study of this case I highlight the causes for the origin of the client's delinquent behaviour. Furthermore, I discuss the way of work of the social curator of children and youth. The case study also includes an analysis of the methods used by the curator in his work with a juvenile client.
