Z historie je známo mnoho příkladů mezistátních ozbrojených konfliktů vedených kvůli získání většího množství neobnovitelných zdrojů, jako je ropa či železo. There is quite a large nuber of known conflicts waged with a goal of securing non-renewable resources like oil or gas. However, renewable resources are seldom a reason for violent conflict between states. In most cases they only play a role in rise of internal problems like urbanisation, radicalisation and civil wars.
