The Geographical Analysis of Tourism in the Domažlice District and the Klatovy District

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem této bakalářské práce je analýza koncentrace ubytovacích zařízení a vyhodnocení prostorového rozmístění rekreačních aktivit a atraktivních destinací v okresech Domažlice a Klatovy. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části. Teoretická část práce se zabývá přírodními a kulturně historickými předpoklady cestovního ruchu ve sledovaných okresech, zatímco praktická část analyzuje a komparuje data o ubytovacích zařízeních. Veškerá data v analytické části práce byla použita prostřednictvím dat čerpaných z Českého statistického úřadu a dat z vlastního šetření. Podstatným zjištěním autorky je nerovnoměrné rozmístění ubytovacích kapacit obou okresů a výrazně menší koncentrace ubytovacích zařízení v okrese Domažlice než v okrese Klatovy. V závěru práce došla autorka ke zjištění, že okres Klatovy patří mezi atraktivní regiony Plzeňského kraje i České republiky, zatímco okres Domažlice atraktivitou zaostává.

Abstract:

The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the concentration of accommodation facilities and to evaluate the spatial distribution of recreational activities and attractive destinations in the districts of Domažlice and Klatovy. The thesis is devided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with the natural and the cultural-historical conditions of tourism in the monitored districts, while the practical part analyzes and compares the data about the accommodation facilities. All data in the analytical part of the thesis were used through data drawn from the Czech Statistical Office and data from its own investigation. The main finding of the author is the uneven distribution of accommodation capacities in both districts and a strogly smaller concetration of accommodation capacities of both districts and a significantly smaller concentration of accommodation facilities in the Domažlice district than in the district of Klatovy. At the end of the work, the author came the conclusion that Klatovy district is one of the attractive regions of the Pilsen region, while the district of Domažlice lags behind with attractiveness.
