Refractive intraocular surgery with a focus on types of intraocular lenses

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá implantací umělé nitrooční čočky za účelem korekce refrakční vady. V úvodu je popsána historie těchto zákroků, indikace a kontraindikace a vyšetření, které pacient před operací podstupuje. V další části jsou rozebrány fakické nitrooční čočky a jejich nejtypičtější zástupci ze skupiny čoček předněkomorových, zadněkomorových a fixovaných na duhovku. Obsáhlejší kapitola o refrakční výměně čočky zmiňuje ať už tradiční čočky monofokální a multifokální, zároveň jsou popsány také vývojově mladší implantáty bioanalogické či s prodlouženým fokusem. V závěru je zařazeno téma piggybacking a problematika čoček blokujících modré záření.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the implantation of an artificial intraocular lens to correct a refractive error. The history of these procedures, indications and contraindications, and the examinations that the patient undergoes prior to surgery are described in the introduction. In the next section, phakic intraocular lenses and their most typical representatives from the group of anterior chamber, posterior chamber and iris-fixed lenses are discussed. A more comprehensive chapter on refractive lens exchange mentions both traditional monofocal and multifocal lenses, while the developmentally younger bioanalog or extended depth of focus implants are also described. Finally, the topic of piggybacking and the issue of blue-light blocking lenses is included.
