Alternative teaching materials based on a description of real-life situations in German language lessons at Basic Schools 1st degree leisure activity club

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Alternativní výukové materiály vycházející z popisu životních situací ve výuce německého jazyka v zájmovém kroužku na I. stupni ZŠ“ pojednává o cizojazyčných výukových metodách, jejich dělení a využití v zájmovém kroužku německého jazyka v příhraniční oblasti, kde žiji. V práci popisuji jazykovou politiku, ranou výuku cizích jazyků u dětí a kdy začít se školní výukou cizích jazyků, výukové cíle a jejich dělení, zájmovou činnost s volným časem. V empirické části jsou vymezeny cíle, hypotézy a metodika výzkumného šetření. Výzkum byl proveden ve čtyřech vybraných základních školách na I. stupni v příhraniční oblasti, kvantitativní formou tištěného anonymního dotazníku, který je určen pro rodiče žáků, zda by byl o německý jazyk zájem. Nedílnou součástí práce je vytvořený soubor výukového materiálu, vycházející z popisu životních událostí, pro výuku německého jazyka v zájmovém kroužku.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis "Alternative teaching materials based on a description of real-life situations in German language lessons at Basic Schools´ 1st degree leisure activity club" deals with teaching methods in foreign languages, their structure and their use in a leisure activity club of German language in a border area where I reside. In the thesis I am describing language policy, children´s early foreign language teaching and the time suitable to start teaching foreign languages to school children. I am as well describing teaching targets, their structure and leisure activity in free time. In the empirical part targets, hypotheses and research investigation methodology are defined. The research was carried out at 1st degree of four selected basic schools in border area by means of quantitative method of a printed anonymous questionnaire distributed among parents of pupils. In that I was asking them whether among them there would be an interest in German language lessons for their children. Integral part of the thesis is a created file including teaching material based on a real-life events description, for the German language lessons in a leisure activity club.
