Influence of microclimate in the stable on resting behavior and milk yield of Holstein dairy cows

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou vlivu mikroklimatu a odpočinkové chování dojnic holštýnského skotu v konkrétním chovu. Cílem této diplomové práce bylo posoudit vliv mikroklimatických parametrů (teplota, relativní vlhkost, THI) ve stáji daného podniku a odpočinkové chování dojnic (stání, ležení, lateralita) na výši mléčné produkce dojnic. Sledování dané problematiky bylo prováděno v období od 1.2.2020 do 31.1.2021. Z výsledků sledování bylo statisticky prokázáno, že nejvyšší průměrná dojivost (29,56 kg mléka) byla u dojnic v teplotním pásu 15,1 °C až 20 °C a nejnižší průměrná dojivost (26,48 kg mléka) byla v teplotním pásmu do 5 °C (p <0,05). Nejnižší fáze laktace (134,3 dní) byla u dojnic v teplotním pásmu 15,1 °C až 20 °C (p <0,01). Průměrná vlhkost ve stáji za celé sledované období byla 69,4 %, kdy průměrná dojivost byla za celé období 28,24 kg mléka, pořadí laktace 3,42 a fáze laktace 156,79 dní. Průměrný teplotně vlhkostní index ve stáji byl za celé sledované období 54,28 THI, průměrná dojivost byla za celé období 28,24 kg mléka, pořadí laktace 3,42 a fáze laktace 157,79 dní. U všech sledovaných parametrů (teplota, relativní vlhkost, THI) bylo zjištěno, že všechny dojnice ve sledovaném období spíše preferovaly stání nežli ležení (p > 0,05). Dále bylo zjištěno, že dojnice, které ležely, upřednostňovaly spíše levý bok před pravým (p < 0,01).

Abstract:

This diploma thesis is focused on the analysis of effect of microclimate and the resting behavior of dairy cows of Holstein cattle in specific breeding. The aim of my diploma thesis was to asses the influence of microclimatic parameters (temperature, relativ air humidity, THI) in the stable of the specified farm and the resting behavior of dairy cows (standing, lying, laterality) on the amount of dairy yield of dairy cows. The monitoring of this issue was performed from 1 st February 2020 till 31 st January 2021. From the results of monitoring was statistically proved thet the highest avarage milk yield (29,56 kg of milk) was by dairy cows in the temperature range from 15,1 °C to 20 °C and the lowest avarage milk yield (26,48 kg of milk) was in the temperature range up to 5 °C (p <0,05). The lowest lactation phase (134,3 days) was in dairy cows in the temperature range from 15,1 °C to 20 °C (p <0,01). The average humidity in the stable for the whole monitored period was 69,4 %, while the average milk yield for the whole period was 28,24 kg of milk, the order of lactation was 3,42 and the lactation phase was 156,79 days. The average temperature and humidity index in the stable for the whole monitored period was 54,28 THI, the average milk yield for the whole period was 28,24 kg of milk, the order of lactation was 3,42 and the lactation phase was 157,79 days. For all monitored parameters (temperature, relative humidity, THI) was found that all dairy cows in the observed period preferred standing rather than lying (p > 0,05). It was further found, that the dairy cows, that lay, preferred the left flank rather than the right (p < 0,01).
