This diploma thesis deals with the image of America in the Garth Ennis?s graphic novel Preacher with the focus on culture and society. As an Irish, Ennis depicts America from a foreigner?s point of view but manages to introduce the country in many layers. Tato práce se zabývá obrazem Ameriky v grafickém románu Gartha Ennise Preacher s důrazem na kulturu a společnost. Ennis jakožto Ir ve svém románu vykresluje Ameriku z pohledu cizince, ale daří se mu představit zemi na mnoha úrovních.
