Use of Financial Support of UTB Students with an Impact on their Socio-Economic Status

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem bakalářské práce je poukázat na problematiku spojenou s finanční nestabilitou studentů vysoké školy během jejich studia a nedostatečnou informovaností studentů. Studenti jsou v nepříznivých situacích nuceni získat finanční prostředky z několika nabízejících se zdrojů, které pro ně můžou představovat určitá rizika do budoucnosti. Nesprávné rozhodnutí se pak může nepříznivě projevit na socioekonomickém statusu studenta. Teoretická část je věnována literární rešerši, která popisuje základní vymezení pojmů v oblasti terciárního vzdělávání, následně pak socioekonomického statusu a rodinných vlivů dopadající na děti a studující. Praktickou část tvoří dotazníkové šetření na Univerzitě Tomáše Bati ve Zlíně a polostrukturovaný rozhovor s vybranou osobou. K podpoře informovanosti byla vypracována informační brožura, zřízení finančního poradenství pro studenty, a nakonec lepší prezentace finanční podpory na webových stránkách.

Abstract:

The main goal of the bachelor's thesis is to point out the issues associated with the financial instability of university students during their studies and insufficient information of students. In unfavorable situations, students are forced to obtain financial resources from several available sources, which may represent certain risks for them in the future. The wrong decision can then adversely affect the socio-economic status of the student. The theoretical part is devoted to a literature search, which describes the basic definition of concepts in the field of tertiary education, followed by socio-economic status and family influences affecting children and students.The practical part consists of a questionnaire survey at Tomas Bata University in Zlín and a semi-structured interview with a selected person. An information brochure, the establishment of financial counseling for students, and finally a better presentation of financial support on the website were developed to promote awareness.
