Limits of the European Integration - The Case of Turkish Republic

Abstract:

This work deals with the limits of the European integration in the context of Turkish enlargement of the European Union and draws on the insights of social constructivism. It suggests that the limits of the European integration, undergoing a continuous re/construction, are discernible in the context of the implicit criteria of a country's eligibility to take part in the European integration process due to their relation with the concept of European identity

Abstract:

Tato práce pojednává o mezích evropské integrace v kontextu rozšíření Evropské unie o Turecko, a čerpá z poznatků sociálního konstruktivismu. Předkládá tvrzení, že lze meze evropské integrace, procházející procesem nepřetržité re/konstrukce, pozorovat v kontextu implicitních kritérií způsobilosti země účastnit se evropského integračního procesu, a to díky jejich vztahu ke konceptu evropské identity
