Infrastructures and growth: is it a chicken and egg story? Evidence from European countries

Infrastruktura a růst: Důkaz z evropských zemí
Abstract:
Tato diplomová práce si klade za cíl odhadnout efekt infrastruktury na ekonomickou výkonnost na vzorku evropských zemí. K tomuto účelu byly použity dva různé modely. První z modelů je založen na Cobb-Douglasově produkční funkci, který měří přímý efekt infrastruktury na HDP. Jako druhý model je použit Holtz-Eakin a Schwartzův model, pro odhad nepřímého efektu.
Abstract:
This dissertation is attempting to estimate the effects of infrastructure on the economic performance in the sample of European countries. I created two models which try to estimate different impacts of infrastructure on the economy. First of them is based on the Cobb-Douglas production function which estimates the direct effect.
