Spatial distribution of perception of fear in city district Ostrava-Jih

Abstract:

Diplomová práce na téma Prostorová diferenciace percepce strachu v městském obvodu Ostrava?Jih se zabývá vnímáním strachu občany v konkrétním vymezeném území. Pro účely této práce bylo zvoleno území městského obvodu Ostrava?Jih, skládající se celkem z pěti městských částí. Pro správné uchopení této práce je v první části práce věnována pozornost vymezení daného území. Popisujeme zde historický vývoj jednotlivých části obvodu, následně pak demografickou, fyzickou a funkční prostorovou charakteristiku zkoumané oblasti, a to za pomocí statistických údajů ze sčítání lidu, bytů a domů a dalších zdrojů. Následně jsou v této části charakterizovány nejdůležitější pojmy pro tuto práci, a to kriminalita a strach, na který je pohlíženo z několika hledisek. V druhé, neboli výzkumné části práce se věnujeme vyhodnocení zjištěných výsledků z dotazníkového šetření, které se skládá celkem z 15 výzkumných otázek, a obsahuje celkem 7 map pro identifikaci míst vyvolávající pocit strachu u obyvatel.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis on the topic of Spatial distribution of perception of fear in city district Ostrava?Jih deals with the perception of fear citizens in a particular defined territory. For the purpose of this work was the territory of the municipality Ostrava-South, consisting in total of the five boroughs. For the correct grip of this work is the first part of the work of delimitation of the territory paid attention. Here we describe the historical development of individual parts of the circuit, then the demographic, physical and functional spatial characteristics of the investigated area, using statistics from the census, apartments and houses, and other sources. Subsequently in this section are characterized by the most important concepts for this work, and crime and fear, which is seen from several aspects. In the second part of the work, or research, we evaluate the results of the questionnaire survey, which consists of a total of 15 research issues, and contains a total of 7 maps to identify the places producing a feeling of fear in the population.
