Práce se zabývá votivními dary a památkami, které si lidé odnášeli z poutí. Úvodní část zmiňuje vznik poutních míst a historii poutnictví v křesťanském světě i s připomenutím poutních tradic v jiných náboženstvích (např. islámu). The work is interested in votive gifts and souvenirs which people carried away from pilgrimages. In the introductory part there are mentioned an origin of pilgrimage places and a history of pilgrimage in Christians world with a mention of pilgrimage traditions in other religions (for example Islam).
