Sustainability and sustainable development in the private health sector

Abstract:

Although sustainable development and sustainability were initially meant to be two major solutions to ecological problems, today the concept of sustainable development and sustainability have been expanded and are considered to be key role players in many disciplines seeking for better quality of life in terms of well-being and health care. This thesis examines the importance of theoretical models and practical tools for understanding and making decisions regarding sustainable development and sustainability in health care, particularly oncology care. This research aims to identify the basic conditions needed for commercial interest in one of the key areas of private responsibility: the private health sector. The study will be supported by the examples from the Czech Republic and Turkey. The outcomes include the evaluation of traditional approaches and an interview representing the key concepts of the theoretical and practical part of the thesis. The obtained results can be used in the future in the private health sector allowing for the establishment of main conditions for sustainability and sustainable development in the private health sector.
