Stereotyped Depictions of Native American Women in Hollywood Film

Stereotyped Depictions of Native American Women in Hollywood Film
Abstract:
Abstract:
The thesis is concerned with the stereotype of Native American women being sexually available to white men in Hollywood film and it argues that this stereotype has not changed since the silent era. The thesis also draws attention to the fact that films and television have considerable influence on the viewers and that these media have the power to influence the society with negative stereotypes.
