Pojetí vztahu člověka a zvířete v Porfyriově díle De abstinentia

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se bude věnovat pojetí vztahu mezi člověkem a zvířetem v rámci Porfyriova díla De abstinentia. Práce se bude vztahovat na rozbor textu, sociální a historické okolnosti budou zmíněny jen okrajově, bude se jednat především o zdůraznění Porfyriova uvažování. V rámci tohoto dokazování bude zmíněna otázka racionality u zvířat, Porfyriovo přisouzení určitého stupně racionality zvířatům. Odlišení od čistě instinktivního modelu chápání zvířete. Dále bude rozpracována schopnost komunikace. Porfyrios přisuzuje zvířatům i určitou schopnost komunikace, a to i s lidmi. Na závěr bude rozebrána Otázka soucitu a spravedlnosti u zvířat. Porfyriovo překročení chápání rozdílu mezi krutostí zvířete a na druhé straně soucitem člověka. Cílem je vyzdvižení výjimečnosti Porfyriova myšlení o zvířatech.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis will focus on the concept of the relationship between man and animal in the framework of Porphyry's work De abstinentia. The work will relate to the analysis of the text, social and historical circumstances will be mentioned only marginally, it will be primarily an emphasis on Porphyry's thinking. As part of this proof, the question of rationality in animals will be mentioned, Porphyry's attribution of a certain degree of rationality to animals. Differentiation from a purely instinctive model of understanding an animal. Furthermore, the ability to communicate will be developed. Porphyrios also attributes a certain ability to communicate to animals, even with humans. Finally, the issue of compassion and justice in animals will be discussed. Porphyry's transcendence of understanding the difference between animal cruelty and, on the other hand, human compassion. The aim is to highlight the uniqueness of Porphyry's thinking about animals.
