Abstract:

Bakalárska práca pojednáva o vplyve druhej svetovej vojny na sociálne postavenie a životy žien v Spojených štátoch Amerických. Práca sa taktiež zaoberá situáciou žien pred vojnovým obdobím, ich rodinným životom, pracovnými podmienkami, politickými právami a životným štýlom a následne načrtáva zmeny, ktoré so sebou priniesla vojna. Jadro práce tvorí opis situácie v ktorej sa Americké ženy ocitli na konci druhej svetovej vojny a závery vyplývajúce z tejto situácie. Cieľom mojej práce je dokázať, že druhá svetová vojna mala obrovský vplyv na postavenie Amerických žien v spoločnosti.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the impact of World War II on the social status and lives of women in the United States of America. It is concerned with the situation of women before the war, their family life, working conditions, political rights and lifestyle and outlines the changes brought by the Second World War. The core of the thesis is occupied with the situation American women found themselves in at the end of the war and conclusions that resulted from this situation. The aim of the paper is to prove that World War II had a profound impact on lives and social status of women in the United States of America.
