Diplomová práca je zameraná na komunikáciu s pacientom na umelej pľúcnej ventilácii z pohľadu pacienta. Komunikácia je nevyhnutnou súčasťou ľudského života. Jej dôležitosť nemení ani u ventilovaných pacientov. Práca je rozdelená na osem kapitol. Prvá kapitola obsahuje informácie o indikáciách, formách, režimoch, ukončeniach umelej pľúcnej ventilácie.
