Geography of industrial plant FANS a.s.

Abstract:

Téma této diplomové práce je Geografie průmyslového závodu FANS, a. s. Práce charakterizuje společnost FANS, a. s. a zároveň zkoumá mikroregion Hlinecko z hlediska socioekonomického. Společnost FANS, a. s. se řadí mezi podniky se strojírenskou výrobou do oboru opravy a instalace strojů a zařízení a jejím cílem je stát se lídrem na trhu ve výstavbě a rekonstrukcích chladících věží pro energetické a průmyslové podniky v rámci středoevropského a východoevropského teritoria a významným partnerem asijské a africké části světa. Celá práce je rozdělena na čtyři části. Úvodní se zabývá cíli, metodikou práce a použitou literaturou. Druhá část obsahuje socioekonomickou charakteristiku regionu. Jednotlivé úkoly, které byly stanoveny v úvodu práce, jsou rozpracovány v třetí, nejrozsáhlejší kapitole. Odpovědi na vytyčené úkoly pak poskytují komplexní pohled na tuto společnost. Kapitola je dále členěna na podkapitoly věnující se historii společnosti, struktuře zaměstnanosti, poskytovaným službám, typům chladících věží a odběratelsko dodavatelským vztahům. V závěrečné části je celkové shrnutí práce.

Abstract:

The theme of this thesis is Geography of the industrial plant FANS, Inc. This work characterizes FANS, Inc. and micro-region Hlinecko in terms of socio-economics. FANS, Inc. belongs to the companies of engineering production focused on repairs and installation of machinery and equipment. The objective of this company is to become the market leader in the construction and refurbishment of cooling towers for energy and industrial companies in Central and Eastern European territories and it also tends to be an important partner of the Asian and African part of the world. The whole work is divided into four parts. The introductory part deals with the objectives, methodology of the work and used literature. The second part contains socio-economic characteristic of the region. The third and largest section deals with the plant FANS, Inc. and shows its complex characteristic which results from the elaboration of the individual objectives set up at the beginning of this work. This section is further divided into subsections dealing with the company history, the employment structure, the provided services, the types of cooling towers and with the customer and supplier relationships. In the final section there is the summary of the work.
