The diploma thesis is concerned with the Czech writer Jiří Gruša and his German-language work, namely his book of essays "Česko návod k použití". Tato diplomová práce se zabývá českým spisovatelem Jiřím Grušou a jeho německy psaným dílem, především pak jeho knihou esejů "Česko návod k použití". Cílem práce je vyhledat v těchto textech literární obrazy Čechů. První a druhá kapitola práce je věnována osobě a dílu spisovatele.
