Analysis of textbooks "Sprechen Sie Deutsch?" and "direkt 1 neu" from the phonetic point of view

Abstract:

In my bachelor work I deal with the issues of German pronunciation and its processing in two textbooks for beginners at secondary and language schools. In the theoretical part I describe the basic terms of phonetics and phonology and the differences between Czech and German pronunciation in the segmental and suprasegmental levels which cause problems to native Czech speakers. Finally, I mention possible types of phonetic exercises. In the practical part I analyse and compare the listening exercises in the first volume of Sprechen Sie Deutsch? and Direkt 1 neu textbooks from the phonetic point of view. I describe the teaching materials structure and the types of phonetic exercises. Further I discover if the authors of these textbooks concentrate on native Czech speakers´most frequent mistakkes in German pronunciation drill and if the right exercises for drilling particular phonetic phenomena were chosen. In the conclusion I summarize the results of my analysis and I state which textbook is more appropriate for native Czech speakers to drill the correct German pronunciation.

Abstract:

Ve své bakalářské práci se zabývám problematikou výslovnosti německého jazyka a jejího zpracování ve dvou učebnicích pro střední a jazykové školy určených pro začátečníky. V teoretické části popisuji základní pojmy z fonetiky a fonologie a rozdíly mezi českou a německou výslovností v segmentální a suprasegmentální rovině, které způsobují českým rodilým mluvčím problémy a nakonec uvádím možné typy fonetických cvičení. V praktické části analyzuji a srovnávám poslechová cvičení v prvním díle učebnice Sprechen Sie Deutsch? a učebnice direkt 1 neu z fonetického hlediska.Popisuji strukturu učebních materiálů a typy fonetických cvičení. Dále zjišťuji, zda se autoři učebnic zaměřují při nácviku německé výslovnosti na nejčastější chyby českých rodilých mluvčích a zda byla vybrána na nácvik určitých fonetických jevů vhodná cvičení.V závěru práce shrnuji výsledky své analýzy a uvádím, která učebnice je pro nácvik správné výslovnosti německého jazyka pro české rodilé mluvčí vhodnější.
