Analysis of DNS in cybersecurity
Abstract:
Práca sa zaoberá niekoľkými oblasťami DNS (Domain Name System) vzhľadom k cybersecurity. Na analýzu teoretických techník bol zvolený voľne dostupný DNS dataset od firmy Rapid7. Analyzované sú hlavne metódy pre domain correlation a subdomain takeover. K práci boli vytvorené nástroje na automatizáciu a skripty ktoré demonštrovali teoretické techniky na spomínanom datasete.
Abstract:
This thesis presents multiple concepts around the DNS (Domain Name System) as it relates to cybersecurity. A publicly available Forward DNS dataset from Rapid7 is used as an underlying source of information. Primarily, techniques for domain correlation and subdomain takeover are addressed.
