Impact of financial crisis on the banking market trades in securities

Abstract:

The basic idea of writing my dissertation is the economic crisis what we have seen and experienced in all areas of our lives at present days. After my very detailed presentation of the general crisis at the global level I concentrate on investments by presenting few examples. Turning to the events what has taken place in Hungary I would like to give an overview about the current economic situation and the Hungarian banking system. I illustrate the shifts in domestic investments emphasizing the possibility of interest tax relief, importance of MIFID testing and government bonds issue. I go on my dissertation with three case studies, I examined the portfolio shifts of my clients at MKB Bank Zrt between 2008 and 2012. I had the possibility to present these case studies because I have been working for MKB Bank Zrt as a leader in retail sales for five years. I think that I gave a complex picture about the current crisis and I successfully demonstrated the change in investment behaviour of my three clients. Thank you in advance.

Abstract:

Pri písaní diplomovej práce som vychádzala zo základnej myšlienky hospodárskej krízy, ktorú je možné vidieť a pociťovať vo všetkých oblastiach nášho života. Diplomovú prácu začínam prezentáciou krízy na základnej, globálnej úrovni a na príkladoch niektorých krajín sa sústreďujem na investície. Pokračujem udalosťami v Maďarsku, predstavím procesy, ktoré sa odohrali doma ako aj súčasnú hospodársku situáciu, poskytnem prehľad o maďarskom bankovom systéme. Skúmam preskupenie domácich investícií, ich premietnutie na možnosť oslobodenia od dane z úrokov, na dôležitosť testovania smernice o trhoch s finančnými nástrojmi (MIFID) a na emisie cenných papierov. Prípadovú štúdiu som uskutočnila u troch klientov, ktorí majú vedené účty v MKB Banke, skúmala som preskupenie ich portfólia v rokoch 2008 až 2012. Mala som takúto možnosť, pretože v spomínanej banke pracujem už piaty rok, na oddelení pre retail, ako vedúca oddelenia. Myslím si, že sa mi podarilo vytvoriť komplexný obraz o súčasnej hospodárskej kríze a úspešne posúdiť zmenu investičných postupov mojich troch klientov.
