Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na hledání stereotypů Čechů a Němců v díle Karla Klostermanna. V práci je zmíněn život Karla Klostermanna a jeho vztah k Šumavě. Dále je zde vymezena Šumava samotná. Je zde v různých pojetích vysvětlen termín stereotyp. Hlavní část práce tvoří analýza Klostermannova díla.
