Thesis “Effect of Norwegian translation on interpretation and meaning of Edvard Grieg's "Sechs Lieder" song cycle op. 48” compares in detail the translated version of the song cycle with the original German version. The thesis describes the problems encountered by the singer when interpreting in Norwegian, and the author suggests solutions: most often omitting some dynamic and other notes in the score …more
