Application of FTIR spectroscopy/microscopy in the analyses of cellulose nitrate based materials

Abstract:

Použití a aplikace materiálů na bázi nitrátů celulózy jsou předmětem této bakalářské práce respektující zájem průmyslových partnerů. Úmyslně byly vynechány některé údaje souvisejí-cí s konkrétním zájmem průmyslu. V úvodu práce je zpracována literární rešerše na téma přípravy, fyzikálně-chemických vlastností, např. rozpustnosti a některých aplikací. Další část práce je zaměřena na FT-IR spektroskopie/mikroskopie jako analytickou metodu, její princip, techniky, možnosti využití při analýze a důkazech materiálů. Studované vzorky mono- a dinitrátů celulózy byly připraveny v laboratořích průmyslového výrobce a jejich detailní charakteristika ověřena certifikovanou laboratoří Synpo a.s. pří-slušné protokoly jsou uloženy u zodpovědného řešitele. Byl ověřen vliv mol. hmotnosti a stupně substituce na hydroxylových skupinách výchozího polymeru (bavlněné lintersy) pomocí FTIR a UV spektroskopie. Zjistil se vliv zbytkové vody na spektrální vlastnosti materiálu.

Abstract:

An use and application materials on base of cellulose nitrate are subject of the bachelors works and it reflects of industrial partners interest. There were left out some principal data connected with industrial interest. In the introducion part there is situated literature research concerning of sample preparation, physical and chemical material properties and as wel as solubility and some principal aplli-cations. The other part of work is oriented on FTIR spectroscopy/microscopy used as an analytical method needed to the principal application as an instrumental technique, posibility of utilli-zation to analysis and as a proof of materials properties. The studed samples of mono- and di-nitrate cellulose were prepared in laboratories of in-dustrial producer and their more detail charakteristics have been checked in the Sympo A.S. and the appropriate protocols are stored in our laboratory too. There were studed an influence of molecular weight and degrese of substitution of the hyd-roxyls groups of the starting cellulose(cotton linters) on FTIR and UV spectra. There has been found an influence of water residua content on the spectral properties mentioned above.
